Forgotten Disco Classics: 70's & 80's

A Sunday afternoon party in the upstairs hall of Merz celebrating disco classics from the 1970s and 80s. The programme features well-known hits like "Relight My Fire" by Dan Hartman, "Disco Inferno" by The Trammps, and "Heaven Must Be Missing an Angel" by Tavares, alongside lesser-known gems from Kid Creole & The Coconuts, Shalamar, Phil Fearon & Galaxy, Shakatak, Level 42, and more. The selection also includes Dutch disco and pop classics from Spargo, Time Bandits, Chaplin Band, Mai Tai, Massada, and Daniel Sahuleka, plus soul, reggae, funk, R&B, and hip-hop from the era.

All music is played from original vinyl singles. Requests are welcome - if the record is in stock, it will be played for you. There's also a "Guess the Record" game with prizes.

Tickets cost € 9 online or € 10 at the door. Parking is available at Weeskinderdijk for € 1, with a short walk to Merz. By public transport, it's about 15 minutes' walk from Dordrecht Central Station, or take a bus that stops near Merz. Tickets for upcoming editions on 1 November and 13 December are also available via merzdordrecht.nl.
