On 28 August 2026, Expeditie NEXT takes place on the Lange Voorhout in Den Haag: the national science festival of the National Science Agenda (NWO). The day features more than thirty hands-on activities, experiments and discoveries for the whole family. Free tickets can be reserved via expeditienext.nl.

Specially for children aged 8 to 12, the Den Haag District Court organises interactive court sessions throughout the day. In a mock trial, children learn how a judge reaches a verdict and can ask questions to judges, prosecutors and lawyers. Free tickets for the afternoon programme are still available.
