Visit Windpark Koningspleij during Open Energy Day

Four wind turbines stand along the Pleijroute at Windpark Koningspleij. On Saturday, 19 September, the park participates in the national Open Energy Day and is open to the public from 10:00 to 15:00. The address is at the end of Nieuwe Havenweg in Arnhem.

Until 13:00, visitors can view one of the wind turbines from the inside and learn how energy generation works. There are also children's activities.

The park has a unique ownership model: residents from the surrounding area have become co-owners of the turbines through a cooperative and share in the proceeds. The four turbines of REIJE can supply 14,000 households with renewable energy. Through the Community Fund, part of the proceeds flows back to the surrounding neighborhoods - the fund has financed, among other things, resuscitation training for residents in Presikhaaf and Malburgen.
