Landgoed Zonnestraal is a listed monument set in the woods near Hilversum, built between 1928 and 1931 as a sanatorium for diamond workers. The modernist buildings, designed by Jan Duiker and Bernard Bijvoet, are considered landmarks of the New Building movement. After extensive restoration, the complex now hosts conferences, events and cultural gatherings.
