Stories from the North

In collaboration with Leyla Hepsaydir of Stories of a Street, Stories from the North brings together the stories of Rotterdam-North and its residents: stories from the past and present, of arrival, growing up, disappearing and starting anew. Different voices, memories and perspectives run through the neighbourhood like loose threads and together form the larger story of the district.

During the project, a growing quilt emerges in which residents record and embroider their memories, stories and special neighbourhood objects on fabric. No experience is needed.
