Oleg Fateev & Simone Sou

Oleg Fateev (accordion) and Simone Sou (percussion) met in 2008 during an international project led by the Ethel String Quartet (New York), as part of Festival Mundial and Paradox. Since 2010, they have performed instrumental music and songs together - described by themselves as 'a musical love story' - on stages around the world.

Fateev is from Moldova, Sou from Brazil. As a duo they perform in Europe and Brazil, and have collaborated with Brazilian composer Chico Cesar and guitarist Badi Assad. This resulted in the performance Other Roots, which brings together Afro-Brazilian, indigenous, and Balkan and world beats through percussion, accordion and vocals.
