Maridalen (NO)

Maridalen is a Norwegian jazz trio playing acoustic music built around double bass, saxophone and trumpet. The group draws inspiration from nature - the name refers to a valley north of Oslo. Their latest album Gressholmen was named best jazz album of 2024 by Mojo Magazine and best Norwegian jazz album of 2024 by newspaper Dagsavisen.

Tonight marks the trio's first performance at Paradox. The three musicians - Anders Hefre (saxophone & clarinet), Jonas Kilmork Vemøy (trumpet) and Andreas Rødland Haga (double bass) - alternate melodic lines with harmonic and percussive interplay.
