Naamu ft. Aziz Ozouss

Following their debut album Naamu (2023), nominated for an Edison Award, the band led by bassist and composer Teun Creemers ventures in a new direction. After earlier collaborations with West African musicians such as Kankou Kouyaté and Harouna Samaké, Naamu now turns to South Morocco, joining forces with Aziz Ozouss - a Moroccan multi-instrumentalist deeply rooted in the Amazigh musical tradition.

In October 2026, their joint album is released, recorded in Casablanca. The music moves between jazz and the traditions of South Morocco, without being purely one or the other. Ozouss brings knowledge of styles such as Rwaiss and Isemgan and plays traditional instruments like the ribab and the lothar. His contribution interweaves with the band's jazz language to create a unique musical voice.
