ADHD (ISL)

The Icelandic quartet ADHD draws from jazz, rock, dance and trance, with gradually shifting rhythms and melodies that reveal a kinship with minimal music. Saxophone, guitar, drums, bass and keys flow together into a hypnotic sound.

What stands out about their live concerts is that the band never works with a setlist. The programme emerges on the spot, in the interplay between the four musicians on stage - each concert is therefore different. The eccentric brothers Óskar (saxophone) and Ómar (guitar) Gudjónsson are the most striking figures in the band.

ADHD met in 2008 at a blues festival in a small village in the volcanic south of Iceland. Less than a year later, their debut album ADHD was released, which was named Jazz Album of the Year at the Icelandic Music Awards. In September 2026, the band will release a new album.
