Bring Me Back Home - Premiere

What do you carry with you - without realizing it?

On 29 October, Bring Me Back Home premieres at Stadsschouwburg Utrecht. It is a personal performance by Bright Richards and David Richards about origin, identity and the bond between father and son - about what is passed on from generation to generation, in words, in silences, in expectations.

When Bright fled Liberia to the Netherlands at age 21, he left his first twenty years of life behind. Now that David has reached the same age, that story takes on new meaning. The performance combines poetic text, dance and personal stories into a whole that also invites reflection on the traces that shape us and the stories we pass on.
