Saaz Aur Awaaz brings two worlds together: Saaz - the instrument - and Awaaz - the human voice - in a concert of raga and tala.

Sitar player Partha Bose performs Indian classical music with a keen sense of melody and improvisation, moving from meditative silence to rhythmically driving passages. Singer Esha Bandyopadhyay sings ragas in which emotion, poetry and tradition are woven together.

Tablaplayer Heiko Dijker accompanies them both and adds a rhythmic layer that connects sitar and voice.
