During the Cinefest weekend (Saturday 5 & Sunday 6 September), all films are shown for € 5,-.
C'était mieux demain
In a small French town in the 1950s, Hélène and Michel lead a carefree life with their two children. Michel is the head of the household, Hélène fulfils her role as wife and mother - that is simply how things are done. Until the family suddenly finds itself in the year 2025.
In this modern world, technology shapes daily life and the position of women has fundamentally changed. For Hélène, this feels like a revelation: her life no longer needs to revolve around her husband's expectations and society's demands. For Michel, it is a harsh blow - the certainties and privileges he always relied on have suddenly vanished. As old convictions clash with new ideas, tensions, frustrations and hidden desires come to the surface. In France, this comedy attracted nearly 900,000 viewers.
