Interview with Doireann Ní Ghríofa

Boekhandel Donner welcomes Irish author and poet Doireann Ní Ghríofa for an interview about her new novel Aldus de doden.

Ní Ghríofa became known in the Netherlands with her prose debut A Ghost in the Throat (2021), which was shortlisted for the European Union Prize for Literature in 2022. Aldus de doden, her second novel, is set in a former psychiatric women's institution. Through a blend of prose, poetry, and archival material, she connects the past of the women who lived there with the life of a contemporary narrator.
