Bloody Mama, GLITZ & Sturgeon
A 60's/70's edition of Rock Night featuring three rock bands at Poppodium Corneel in Lelystad: Bloody Mama, GLITZ, and Sturgeon.
Bloody Mama plays what they call 'Velvet Rock': psychedelic blues rock, garage rock and soul with their own twist. The band was coached by Pablo van de Poel (DeWolff) and draws heavily from the sounds of the 1960s and 1970s.
GLITZ is a young rock band from Wijk aan Zee. Their sound is raw and unpolished, moving effortlessly between hard rock, psychedelia and melodic pop. Layered guitars, rich harmonies and pronounced dynamics form the foundation - intimate and small versus grand and theatrical, raw versus glam.
Sturgeon is a four-piece blues/hard rock band from Kampen. Starting as a cover band playing mainly Led Zeppelin material, they now perform their own songs in the style of the 1970s, influenced by Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath, The Who, the Beatles and Thin Lizzy.
