This evening brings together two reggae acts with deep roots in the music's history. Culture, originally led by Joseph Hill, released a string of defining records in the 1970s, among them the landmark album Two Sevens Clash. After Joseph Hill's death in 2006, his son Kenyatta Hill took over as frontman and has since kept the group's spiritual and musical legacy going - with a voice closely resembling his father's and a clear commitment to the material.

Sharing the bill is Cedric Myton, the falsetto voice at the centre of The Congos. The group's album Heart of the Congos, produced by Lee "Scratch" Perry, is widely considered one of the greatest reggae records ever recorded. Myton remains an active performer, known for a voice that is at once fragile and forceful.
