Rockit
An evening of jazz featuring Al di Meola, Nate Smith, Tigran Hamasyan, Kurt Elling and Yellowjackets, presented by Rockit at De Oosterpoort.
Yellowjackets are an American jazz fusion band that grew out of guitarist Robben Ford's backing group in 1977 and went on to become one of the most enduring acts in contemporary jazz. The current lineup - pianist Russell Ferrante (the sole founding member), saxophonist Bob Mintzer, drummer Will Kennedy and bassist Dane Alderson - released their 27th studio album, Fasten Up, in February 2025 on Mack Avenue Records. Across more than four decades the band has earned 17 Grammy nominations and won twice, cementing a reputation for restless, genre-blurring musicianship.
Yellowjackets performed as headliner at the 28th Twin Cities Jazz Festival in Saint Paul, Minnesota (June 19-20, 2026).
Fasten Up was nominated for the Grammy Award for Best Jazz Instrumental Album at the 2026 ceremony.
The band performed at the North Sea Jazz Festival in Rotterdam.
Yellowjackets released Fasten Up, their 27th studio album, via Mack Avenue Records.
The band played a concert in Utrecht, Netherlands.
