About

Yellowjackets are an American jazz fusion band that grew out of guitarist Robben Ford's backing group in 1977 and went on to become one of the most enduring acts in contemporary jazz. The current lineup - pianist Russell Ferrante (the sole founding member), saxophonist Bob Mintzer, drummer Will Kennedy and bassist Dane Alderson - released their 27th studio album, Fasten Up, in February 2025 on Mack Avenue Records. Across more than four decades the band has earned 17 Grammy nominations and won twice, cementing a reputation for restless, genre-blurring musicianship.
