KamFest: Day 1
KamFest opens with three symphonic metal bands: Xandria, Leaves' Eyes and Elegy perform on 30 October at 013 Tilburg.
Xandria is a German symphonic metal band founded in 1994 by guitarist and composer Marco Heubaum. Blending heavy guitars with orchestral arrangements and vocals that range from operatic highs to growls, they have held a firm place in the European metal scene for over three decades. Since 2022, French vocalist Ambre Vourvahis has fronted the band, making her debut on the German top 10 album 'The Wonders Still Awaiting' (2023).
Xandria releases their ninth studio album 'Eclipse' on August 7, 2026 via Napalm Records, with eleven tracks combining classic 1980s metal riffs, orchestral sounds and Celtic folk influences.
Xandria announces the 'Eclipse Europe Tour' for autumn 2026, with 32 concerts in eleven countries, supported by Seven Spires, Secret Rule and Tulip.
The band releases the first single 'The Shannon's Home' as a preview of 'Eclipse', carried by the voice of Ambre Vourvahis with folk elements and cinematic orchestration.
Bassist Tim Schwarz leaves the band on April 17, 2026 to focus on his other band Velvet Rush; Marco Heubaum temporarily takes over bass guitar for live shows.
Xandria releases the EP 'Universal Tales' on November 22, 2024 via Napalm Records, with four new tracks and orchestral versions of them.
