Three extreme metal bands from Belgium, Italy and Switzerland: Wolvennest blends black metal with psychedelia and ambient, Bedsore adds prog rock, and Vígljós closes with classic Norwegian black metal.
Wolvennest are a Brussels-based Belgian band who since 2013 have fused black metal, doom, psychedelia, krautrock and ambient into a dark, ritualistic whole. Singer and theremin player Shazzula is the group's figurehead; the band has built a strong European reputation through appearances at Hellfest, Roadburn and Desertfest. Their double album Procession, released in October 2025 via Consouling Sounds, is their most ambitious record to date at over 75 minutes.
On 17 October 2025, Wolvennest released the double album Procession via Consouling Sounds, their longest record to date with over 75 minutes of music.
In support of Procession, Wolvennest embarked on the 'Skin Procession Over Europe Tour' with (Dolch) and Double Darkness, with stops in Nijmegen, Amsterdam, Leipzig, Hamburg and Münster, among others.
In September 2025, the band officially announced Procession and released the single 'Décharné' as a preview of the album.
In February 2025, Wolvennest performed for the first time in Groningen, at the pop venue Vera.
Procession is also the first album featuring the new bassist VaathV.
