Bolwerk Bluesfestival
The Bolwerk Bluesfestival returns with blues singer Big Daddy Wilson and the band Voltage. A festival full of roots blues, soul and folk.
Voltage is a southern rock band from Helmond in the Netherlands, founded in 2011 by singer-guitarist Dave Vermeulen. Their sound blends southern rock, blues rock and americana - think ZZ Top and Blackberry Smoke - and they reached a wider audience after Vermeulen finished runner-up on The Voice of Holland in 2015/2016. Five studio albums and a double live record later, they are a fixture on the Dutch rock circuit, with regular airplay on NPO Radio 2 and Radio Veronica and festival slots at Zwarte Cross, Bospop and Paaspop.
Voltage released the double live album Live At Tivoli, recorded during the sold-out album release show at TivoliVredenburg on April 13, 2024.
Live At Tivoli was also released as a signed 2LP on vinyl via Bob's Vinyl, with a release date of April 3, 2026.
Voltage performed as the house band at the NPO Radio 2 Nationale Popquiz, which was broadcast live.
The fifth studio album Fortunes & Willows was released on April 12, 2024; the album release show at TivoliVredenburg was sold out.
The singles 'The Wild Ones' and 'Leave It All Behind' from Fortunes & Willows both became NPO Radio 2 Topsong.
