Vengeance is a Dutch hard rock band founded in 1983 in Waalwijk. Albums such as 'We Have Ways to Make You Rock' (1986), 'Take It or Leave It' (1987) and 'Arabia' (1989) established them as one of the very few Dutch acts to hold their own against the major international hard rock names of the era. Notable alumni include Arjen Anthony Lucassen, later the driving force behind Ayreon, and bassist Barend Courbois. After several break-ups and reunions, the band returned to the stage in 2023 with frontman Leon Goewie and drummer John Emmen at the helm.
Vengeance performed at the sixteenth edition of Baroeg Open Air on 13 September 2025 in Zuiderpark in Rotterdam.
The band played two consecutive evenings on 30 and 31 May 2025 at Little Devil Cafe in Tilburg.
On 11 April 2025, Vengeance took the stage at Buitensoos in Zutphen.
Vengeance was announced as headliner of Randrock on Ascension Day 2025 in Vriezenveen.
In 2023, the band celebrated their 40th anniversary with a European tour, featuring a new lineup around Leon Goewie and John Emmen.
