Vanaheim is an epic folk metal band from Tilburg, founded in 2015, that has grown into one of the most distinctive acts in the Dutch metal scene. The five-piece blends heavy guitars and symphonic arrangements with folk instruments - accordion, violin - and Dutch-language lyrics rooted in folklore and Norse mythology. Their 2022 debut album 'Een Verloren Verhaal' earned them recognition across the European folk metal scene; their second concept album 'Roede voor de Borst' is set for release on 4 September 2026 via Fireflash Records.
Vanaheim released the title single and music video of 'Roede voor de Borst' in July 2026 as the third single from the upcoming album.
The band announced the 'Valhalla Calling' European tour in June 2026: 25 shows in 15 countries as support for TYR, Twilight Force and Dragonland.
