Van Dik Hout are a Nederpop band from Den Helder who started as a school band in the late 1980s and broke through in 1994 with 'Stil In Mij', one of the most enduring Dutch-language singles ever recorded. Their debut album went platinum, earning them an MTV Local Hero Award and a Zilveren Harp, while their third album 'Kopstoot Van Een Vlinder' won an Edison. Together with Acda en de Munnik they formed the side project De Poema's, scoring the number one hit 'Zij Maakt Het Verschil'. In 2021 the band received the Gouden Harp for their lasting contribution to the Dutch music industry.
