Uncle Acid And the Deadbeats are a British psychedelic rock and doom metal band from Cambridge, founded in 2009 by Kevin Starrs. They built a devoted cult following with their breakthrough album 'Blood Lust' (2011), driven by heavy fuzz guitars, layered harmonies and a dark aesthetic rooted in 1960s and 70s horror cinema. Their sixth studio album 'Nell' Ora Blu' (2024) marked a sharp stylistic turn - a largely instrumental homage to Italian giallo and poliziotteschi films of the 1970s.
Uncle Acid And the Deadbeats announced a North American tour for fall 2026, together with Italian band Messa - the tour runs from September 8 to October 11.
The band released the new single 'Don't Let It Control You', filmed on Super 8 by Tinnitus Productions.
Uncle Acid And the Deadbeats performed in June 2026 at multiple European venues, including Sweden Rock Festival in Sölvesborg and La Laiterie in Strasbourg.
The band performed on November 15, 2025 at the Helldorado Festival in Eindhoven (Klokgebouw).
The sixth studio album 'Nell' Ora Blu' was released on May 10, 2024 via Rise Above Records - a largely instrumental tribute to Italian giallo and crime cinema of the 1970s.
