Turpentine Valley + Ka'Una
Two Belgian metal bands: Turpentine Valley delivers dark post-metal with dynamic tension, while Ka'Una blends ambient and psychedelic elements into their sound.
Turpentine Valley is an instrumental post-metal trio from Zulte, East Flanders, comprising Kristof Balduyck (guitar), Thomas Maes (bass) and Roel Berlaen (drums). The band builds its sound on stark contrasts - crushing heaviness giving way to sweeping, melancholic melody, all without a single sung word. Their debut *Etch* (Dunk!Records, 2019) landed on the Netflix drama *The Twelve* soundtrack; third album *Veuel* followed in March 2026 on Dunk!Records, A Thousand Arms Records and Ripcord Records.
Turpentine Valley was on the poster of dunk!festival 2026 (14-16 May, Zottegem), together with Russian Circles and We Lost the Sea, among others.
On 7 March 2026, the band gave a release concert for *Veuel* in dunk!HQ (De Populier, Zottegem), with Onrust as support.
*Veuel* was released on 6 March 2026 via Dunk!Records, A Thousand Arms Records and Ripcord Records - ten tracks, recorded and mixed by Stef Exelmans in dunk!studios.
Turpentine Valley performed in the basement of Dynamo Eindhoven during the BRIDGE Around Town festival.
