About

Tokio Hotel is a German rock band from Magdeburg, formed in 2001 by twin brothers Bill and Tom Kaulitz alongside bassist Georg Listing and drummer Gustav Schäfer. They broke through internationally with "Durch den Monsun" (2005) and went on to chart across Europe. Over the years their sound shifted from guitar-driven alternative rock toward electronic pop, as heard on albums like "Humanoid" (2009) and "Kings of Suburbia" (2014). With over 10 million records sold, 70 platinum and 120 gold awards, and a devoted global fanbase, they rank among the most successful German bands of the past two decades.
