About

Todd Terry (Brooklyn, 1967) is a Grammy-nominated American DJ, producer and remixer regarded as one of the architects of the New York house sound. From 1987 onwards he built a distinctive style under aliases such as Royal House and Black Riot - raw, sample-heavy tracks that fused disco, Chicago house and hip-hop. His 1995 remix of Everything But The Girl's 'Missing' reached number 2 in the US and number 3 in the UK, bringing him global recognition. Through his labels InHouse Records and Freeze Records he has remained a prolific force in club music ever since.
