Tim Akkerman Sings The Boss is the Springsteen tribute project of Den Haag-based musician Tim Akkerman, who was lead vocalist and guitarist of the Dutch rock band Di-rect from 1999 to 2009. Since 2018 he has toured the Netherlands with a personal homage to Bruce Springsteen, covering everything from arena anthems like 'Born to Run' and 'Glory Days' to quieter moments such as 'The River'. The show is widely regarded as one of the stronger Springsteen tributes in the country, built on Akkerman's raw voice and his long track record on the Dutch live circuit.
