Canadian rock band Theory of a Deadman performs at Melkweg Amsterdam.
Theory of a Deadman is a Canadian rock band from North Delta, British Columbia, formed in 2001 by Tyler Connolly (vocals/guitar) and Dave Brenner (guitar). The first act signed to Nickelback frontman Chad Kroeger's 604 Records, they have scored three number-one hits on the US Mainstream Rock Chart and accumulated over 4 billion streams worldwide. Their sound blends post-grunge and hard rock with country and acoustic touches, with singles like "Bad Girlfriend", "Rx (Medicate)" and "History of Violence" becoming staples of international rock radio.
The EP 'Part 1: Funeral Songs' (6 tracks) was released on September 4, 2026 via ONErpm - the band's first release outside of 604 Records/Roadrunner.
The band released the new single "Funeral Song" as the second preview of the upcoming EP.
Theory of a Deadman announced 'The Dead / Seven Tour' together with Sevendust, with dates from August through September 2026 across the US.
On December 5, 2025, the band released a 20th Anniversary Edition of the breakthrough album 'Gasoline' (2005), featuring unreleased demos and acoustic live versions.
Frontman Tyler Connolly stated in October 2024 that the follow-up to 'Dinosaur' (2023) was virtually complete and that he was aiming for a release in the fall of 2025.
