The Veils are a London-formed, New Zealand-rooted indie rock band led by singer-songwriter Finn Andrews, son of XTC founding member Barry Andrews. Signed to Rough Trade at sixteen, Andrews has steered the band through eight studio albums since their 2004 debut, with the latest, Fragile World (2026), released on V2 Records. Filmmakers Tim Burton, David Lynch and Paolo Sorrentino have all drawn on their music, and the band has built a reputation as a formidable live act over more than two decades.
The Veils released their eighth studio album Fragile World on 19 June 2026 via V2 Records, recorded on tape in New Zealand.
The band toured Australia in August 2026 with shows in Sydney and Melbourne in support of Fragile World.
The first single 'Lungs' from Fragile World was released in February 2026, along with the announcement of British tour dates in December.
In 2025 their seventh album Asphodels appeared, recorded in five days at Roundhead Studios in Auckland, twenty years after the band's debut.
The Veils played sold-out shows across Europe, North America and Australasia in the period 2023-2025.
