The Ruins of Beverast is a German black metal solo project from Aachen, founded in 2003 by Alexander von Meilenwald, formerly the drummer of Nagelfar. In the studio he handles every instrument and vocal himself; live shows are performed with an expanded line-up. Seven albums have appeared on Ván Records, from the raw debut 'Unlock the Shrine' (2004) to 'Tempelschlaf' (January 2026), blending black metal, doom and gothic elements into sprawling, atmospheric compositions.
The seventh studio album 'Tempelschlaf' was released on January 9, 2026 via Ván Records, followed by a small release tour through Munich, Dresden, Hamburg and Cologne.
The Ruins of Beverast will perform on August 7, 2026 at the Alcatraz Metal Festival in Kortrijk, Belgium.
