About
The HU is a Mongolian folk metal band formed in 2016 in Ulaanbaatar, blending traditional instruments such as the morin khuur and tovshuur with heavy guitars and throat singing in a style they call 'Hunnu Rock'. Their 2019 debut album The Gereg hit #1 on Billboard's World Album Chart, and 'Wolf Totem' made them the first Mongolian act ever to top a Billboard chart. With nearly 900 million global streams and appearances on the Metallica Blacklist album, they have become one of the most distinctive acts in contemporary rock.
