About
The Great Old Ones are a French atmospheric black metal band from Bordeaux, founded in 2009 by guitarist and vocalist Benjamin Guerry. Drawing exclusively on H.P. Lovecraft's cosmic horror fiction since their 2012 debut 'Al Azif', they built a devoted international following through albums such as 'Tekeli-li' (2014) and 'EOD: A Tale of Dark Legacy' (2017). Their fifth studio album 'Kadath', released in January 2025 on Season of Mist, is based on Lovecraft's novella 'The Dream-Quest of Unknown Kadath'.
