The Dublin Legends are an Irish folk band that emerged in 2012 from the remaining members of The Dubliners, after founding member Barney McKenna's death and John Sheahan's retirement after 48 years on the road. The current lineup - Seán Cannon, Gerry O'Connor, Paul Watchorn and Shay Kavanagh - brings over a century of combined stage experience, with Cannon having spent more than thirty years as lead singer of The Dubliners. They carry on the classic repertoire of their predecessors, from 'Whiskey in the Jar' to 'Seven Drunken Nights', acoustic and unadorned.
James Cannon, the son of singer Seán Cannon, joined the band as guitarist and singer in 2025.
The Dublin Legends tour in 2026 through five countries with the 'Further Along the Road Tour', with 23 announced concerts.
On 29 September 2026, the band plays at SPOT De Oosterpoort in Groningen as part of the 'Further Along the Road Tour'.
On 3 October 2026, the band is at Metropool Enschede and on 4 October at 013 Poppodium Tilburg.
The band released their first live album in January 2014: 'An Evening With The Dublin Legends: Live In Vienna'.
