The Black Dahlia Murder are an American melodic death metal band from Waterford, Michigan, active since 2001. Signed to Metal Blade Records in 2003, they have released ten studio albums, eight of which charted on the Billboard 200 - with Ritual (2011) peaking at No. 31. The 2007 album Nocturnal is widely regarded as their defining record. Following the death of vocalist Trevor Strnad in 2022, co-founder Brian Eschbach stepped into the vocal role, and the band released their tenth album Servitude in September 2024.
