The Bird Experience
Psychedelic blues-rock and soul band The Bird Experience, led by Mees Vullings, delivers hypnotic yet chaotic live performances that captivate audiences.
The Bird Experience is a psychedelic blues-rock and soul band from The Hague, built around singer, composer and harmonica player Mees Vullings, who also fronts the progressive rock band Heath. Their lineup can expand to twelve musicians - horns, backing singers and all - giving their live shows an unpredictable, near-ritualistic edge. Before they had played a single gig, Radar Agency and Suburban Records were already on board; Roadburn and the Bevrijdingsfestival followed shortly after. Their self-titled debut album, recorded as a twelve-piece and self-produced by the band, came out in May 2026.
The eponymous debut album by The Bird Experience was released on May 22, 2026 via Suburban Records, recorded as a twelve-piece ensemble.
The debut single 'Canto VII' was released on Record Store Day on 7 inch vinyl, accompanied by a dark music video.
The second single 'She's So Fine' was released in April 2026, preceding the debut album.
