The Amity Affliction are an Australian post-hardcore and metalcore band from Gympie, Queensland, formed in 2003. They broke through internationally with Let the Ocean Take Me (2014) and built their reputation on candid lyrics addressing mental health, grief and personal loss. Five ARIA number-one albums and over a billion streams place them among Australia's most successful heavy acts. Their ninth studio album, House of Cards, arrived in April 2026 - the first to feature new bassist and vocalist Jonathan Reeves following the departure of co-founder Ahren Stringer.
The ninth studio album House of Cards was released on April 24, 2026 via Pure Noise Records, produced by guitarist Dan Brown.
The band tours through Europe and the United Kingdom in autumn 2026 with the 'House of Cards EU/UK 2026 Tour', with Silent Planet, Varials and Orthodox as support.
Co-founder and bassist Ahren Stringer was removed from the band on February 14, 2025; Jonathan Reeves permanently took his place.
The first single with new vocalist Jonathan Reeves, 'All That I Remember', was released in May 2025.
The band announced a North American tour for spring 2026, together with August Burns Red, under the name 'The Spring Horizons Tour'.
