Takaaki Itoh is a Japanese DJ, producer and promoter who has been a central figure in Japan's underground techno scene since the early 1990s. He founded the Wols label and built an international following through his dark, hypnotic sound - which he describes as 'wet' - alongside releases on labels including Semantica and Truncate. Since his European debut in 2000 he has become a regular presence at the continent's leading clubs and festivals.
