SYML is the stage name of American singer-songwriter Brian Fennell from Issaquah, Washington. The name is Welsh for 'simple', and that restraint defines his sound: bare piano, understated synths and a fragile vocal that sits somewhere between grief and consolation. A sync placement of 'Where's My Love' in the TV series Teen Wolf launched his career, and the song went on to earn multi-platinum status with over four billion lifetime streams. In the Netherlands he built a particularly devoted following, earning a gold album and selling out Paradiso's main hall in Amsterdam.
SYML released multiple new singles in 2026, including 'Listless', 'Blanc', 'Fever Dream' and a duet of 'Where's My Love' with Carla Morrison.
SYML is scheduled in December 2026 for two Dutch shows: on December 2 at AMARE Den Haag and on December 3 at TivoliVredenburg Utrecht, followed by Royal Theater Carré Amsterdam on December 4.
SYML released his fourth studio album Nobody Lives Here on April 4, 2025, produced together with his regular collaborator Brian Eichelberger.
