Sugar Spine is a metallic hardcore band based in the Netherlands, founded in 2021 by Australian vocalist Josh Muncke as a solo project during hotel quarantine in Sydney. The four-piece - completed by guitarist Sietse de Krieger, bassist Koen Vroom and drummer Tom Verstappen - quickly built a live reputation supporting acts such as Jesus Piece, Misery Signals and Breakdown of Sanity. Their sound moves between melodic metalcore, fast two-step passages and crushing breakdowns, drawing on influences from Stick To Your Guns, Slipknot and END.
