Sud Sound System is a reggae and dancehall collective from Lecce in the Salento region of southern Italy. Since the 1990s they have blended reggae rhythms with local folk traditions, often singing in Griko - an ancient Greek dialect still spoken in parts of Apulia. Their distinctly Mediterranean take on reggae has earned them a following well beyond Italy.
