Omar Doom (NL exclusive)
Omar Doom performs as STRAIGHT RAZOR, blending darkwave, EBM and industrial electronic music. A Dutch exclusive show at dB's Utrecht.
STRAIGHT RAZOR is the solo electronic project of American musician, actor and painter Omar Doom, born in 1976 in Easton, Pennsylvania. The project - a collision of darkwave, EBM, industrial and techno, partly rooted in horror film scores and Italian giallo cinema - debuted in 2013 and has since carved out a firm place in the international underground electronic scene. In 2023 Doom founded his own imprint, Doom Vision Records, and in December 2024 released the long-awaited debut album Casualty. He is also known as an actor from Quentin Tarantino's Death Proof and Inglourious Basterds.
STRAIGHT RAZOR released the single 'Obsession' on October 14, 2025, a darkwave cover of the 1980s hit by Animotion, featuring guest vocalist Bonnie McKee, via Doom Vision Records.
STRAIGHT RAZOR toured through Europe from February to April 2025 as support for VNV Nation, with performances in Eindhoven, Berlin, London, Barcelona and Copenhagen, among others.
The debut album Casualty was released on December 13, 2024 via Doom Vision Records, followed by a release party on December 15 at The Echo in Los Angeles.
The title single 'Casualty' was released in September 2024 as the second preview of the album, with an accompanying music video.
STRAIGHT RAZOR announced the debut album Casualty with the single 'The Curse', whose music video appeared in August 2024.
