Stochelo Rosenberg is a Dutch Sinti guitarist born in Helmond in 1968, widely regarded as one of the foremost living exponents of gypsy jazz. He rose to international prominence as the lead guitarist of the Rosenberg Trio, which he founded in 1989 with his cousins Nous'che and Nonnie Rosenberg, bringing the genre to a broad global audience throughout the 1990s. His collaborators have ranged from Stéphane Grappelli - with whom the trio performed at Carnegie Hall - to Toots Thielemans and Tommy Emmanuel. He also runs the Rosenberg Academy, an online school dedicated to teaching gypsy jazz.
The album 'The Chaplin Project' by Stochelo & Mozes Rosenberg Trio was released in September 2026 via Label Ouest, with ten tracks of which five Chaplin compositions and five original works.
