About

Stefan Kruger (Amsterdam, 1965) is a Dutch drummer, producer and co-founder of the trio Zuco 103. He studied jazz drums at the Royal Conservatoire in The Hague before building a reputation as a sought-after session musician with acts including SFeQ and New Cool Collective. In 1999 he co-founded Zuco 103 with keyboardist Stefan Schmid and singer Lilian Vieira - the band that coined the term 'Brazilectro' for their blend of samba, bossa nova, jazz and electronic music. Nine studio albums, stages at Lowlands, North Sea Jazz and Glastonbury, and a Dutch Edison Award for Telenova (2024) place Zuco 103 among the most influential world-music acts the Netherlands has produced.
