STEEBY is the stage name of Jesse Kortenschijl, a rapper, singer and producer from Groningen. He broke through with his debut EP 'Betere Dagen' (2020) and built a reputation as a compelling live act, blending hip-hop with jazz and funk through philosophical, narrative lyrics. Since 2024 he has performed as Steebs' Method alongside The Method, a band of young jazz musicians from the north of the Netherlands, and has appeared at Eurosonic Noorderslag twice.
Steebs' Method was featured on the Grunnsonic program of Eurosonic Noorderslag 2026 and also performed at Platosonic in the Prins Claus Conservatorium.
Steebs' Method was included by ESNS in the Recommended 2026 list of promising European acts.
Steebs' Method performed live at Jazz in Duketown 2025.
Steebs' Method released the live EP 'Check the Method' and celebrated this with a show in the small hall of Simplon Groningen.
Between 2022 and 2025, STEEBY sold out Simplon twice and performed at festivals such as ESNS and SPOT.
