Sorcery + Cutthroat + Damnation
Three metalcore bands - Sorcery, Cutthroat and Damnation - perform at Poppodium Iduna.
Sorcery is a Swedish death metal band founded in 1986 in Sandviken, making them one of the earliest acts to define the classic Swedish death metal sound. Their 1991 debut 'Bloodchilling Tales' is considered a genre landmark, though constant lineup shifts pushed the band into a long hiatus from 1997. They returned in 2009 and have since released three albums through Xtreem Music, with founding members Ola Malmström and Paul Johansson still at the helm.
Sorcery announces their fifth studio album 'The Immaculate Sin', which will be released on October 1, 2026 via Xtreem Music on cd, lp, cassette and digitally - to mark their 40th anniversary.
The first single 'Shadowborn' from the new album has been released and is streamable via Xtreem Music's channels.
The album was recorded with producer William Blackmon (Isole, Scar Symmetry) and the artwork was created by Juanjo Castellano Rosado.
The fourth album 'Necessary Excess of Violence' was released in August 2019 via Xtreem Music, seven years after the previous studio work.
