Sleaford Mods are a British duo from Nottingham, formed by vocalist Jason Williamson and producer Andrew Fearn. Their music pairs stripped-back electronic beats with blunt, politically charged lyrics about working-class life in Britain. The breakthrough album Divide and Exit (2014) established them internationally, and they remain one of the UK's most uncompromising live acts.
Sleaford Mods released their thirteenth studio album The Demise of Planet X on 16 January 2026 via Rough Trade Records, featuring guest appearances from Aldous Harding and actress Gwendoline Christie, among others.
The duo announced a UK and Ireland tour for February-March 2026, with £1 per ticket sold going to the charity War Child.
On 16 September 2025, the single 'Megaton' was released, their first new music since the album UK Grim from 2023.
Sleaford Mods return to Australia and New Zealand in April 2026 for a series of headline shows - their first visit to Oceania since 2023.
To mark the tenth anniversary, Sleaford Mods released a reissue of Divide and Exit on 26 July 2024, remastered.
