Seven Lions is the stage name of American DJ and producer Jeff Montalvo (born 1987, Santa Barbara, California), known for blending melodic dubstep, trance and psytrance into a signature sound. In 2018 he founded Ophelia Records, which has grown into a leading melodic bass label with over 250 releases and more than a billion streams. His career took off in 2012 when he won a Beatport remix contest for Above & Beyond, and he has since headlined major venues including Red Rocks and the Tacoma Dome.
Seven Lions released his second studio album 'Asleep in the Garden of Infernal Stars' via Ophelia Records, an 11-track work that was named Album of the Year 2025 by Dancing Astronaut.
The album marks a deliberate return to the fantasy and metal influences that shaped his early career, featuring collaborations with vocalists such as Kerli, HALIENE and Lilly Ahlberg.
Seven Lions announced that he would play only two headliner shows throughout 2025, under the name 'Prelude: Gathering Twilight', in New York and Arizona.
