Serious Black is a German power metal band founded in 2014 by bassist Mario Lochert and guitarist Roland Grapow, both veterans of acts such as Masterplan and Helloween. Across seven studio albums and more than 200 concerts worldwide, they have become one of the leading names in modern power metal. Their debut "As Daylight Breaks" (2015) made an immediate impact, and the band has since built a strong international following through extensive European touring and festival appearances.
Serious Black announced their seventh studio album 'Keeper Of The Light', which will be released on January 29, 2027 via Perception/Reigning Phoenix Music.
The band released the first single 'Last Man Standing' as a preview of the new album.
Serious Black will go on an extensive European tour in January and February 2027, together with Rhapsody of Fire.
The sixth studio album 'Rise Of Akhenaton' was released on September 27, 2024 via AFM Records, on the occasion of the band's tenth anniversary.
With the release of 'Rise Of Akhenaton', the band toured through Europe together with Sonata Arctica and Firewind.
