Selofan is an Athenian darkwave and coldwave duo formed in 2012 by Joanna Pavlidou and Dimitris Pavlidis. They sing in Greek, English and German, drawing on the minimalist synth aesthetics of the 1980s European underground. Beyond performing, the pair run Fabrika Records, the Athens-based label that has also released music by Lebanon Hanover and She Past Away. Seven studio albums and a string of sold-out European shows have made them a fixture of the international darkwave scene.
Selofan made their first North American tour in the summer of 2025, with performances in cities such as Montréal, New York, Tampa, Houston, Denver and Los Angeles.
After the North American tour, European shows were planned, including at the Amphi Festival 2026 in Cologne.
On 10 April 2024, Selofan released their seventh studio album Animal Mentality via Fabrika Records.
The single 'Lucille' from Animal Mentality was released with a music video and received attention from international darkwave media.
In 2023, Selofan performed alongside The Sisters of Mercy, VNV Nation and She Past Away at the Death Disco festival in Athens.
