About

Sanne Wallis de Vries (Amsterdam, 1971) is a Dutch cabaret artist and actress who broke through in 1996 after winning both the jury and audience prizes at the Leids Cabaret Festival. She has built an extensive solo career spanning seven cabaret programmes, became widely known for her character work in the satirical TV shows Kopspijkers and Koefnoen - her Queen Beatrix impression in particular became a national touchstone - and has appeared in films including Soof and the Mees Kees series. In recent years she has broadened her range further: in 2024 she played Martha in the theatre classic Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf? and in 2025 the Mother Superior in the musical Sister Act.
